Mark the Hard Earth(*)

This lone tree is one with whom I regularly commune.

I liked the light surrounding it today.
And the 'harvest home' feel of the remaining parts of the image.

(* The title of a Kris Drever CD, which feels autumnally appropriate and, perhaps a little bleak?)

Also...
...There was a red-legged partridge in the garden (of all places!) this morning.
By the time I'd wiped the toast crumbs off my fingers it had opted for next door!
