When a spoon just isn't quick enough.

I woke up early this morning as it is DDs actual birthday today. I made coffee and croissants, and took breakfast and presents and cards up to her room. She's sleepy at that time of the morning, but the card from her dad made her smile. We dashed out of the house at 8.45 to get to her footie match in Shireoaks, without the satnav we took a detour, but we were still on time, so no worries. She played in goal for the first half, they were a player down, again. The opposition scored early on a break, but then Sheffield FC seemed to have most of the play, frustratingly unable to score. 1-0 at half time. They pulled the game back early into the second half, and I thought they could even win it, but the rain was persistent and both sides became lacklust. Final score 2-1, no disgrace with 10 players, but they could have won it.
Drove home, DD had a shower and then 'before she dried her hair' she opened her pressie from big bro ... a hair drier , yeh!! He and his friend proceeded to give her good advice on how to dry her hair, hilarious.
Off to Vittles for lunch, well all day breakfast actually. The she went off to meet her friends and last time I heard, she was watching Merlin on TV.
Its unusual for Joe to be here (for the last 3 years he has been abroad fencing for GB) and the first time noodlepix has been away for her birthday, so it was a bit strange, but we survived.
