Balancing act
When I popped out for a newspaper I decided to check out the Medway as it flows through Tovil because I've not been down there before. At the bottom of Wharf Road, next to the river, there is a development of new houses so I parked there and had a look round.
The river isn't particularly picturesque there but there were some swans and ducks so plenty to photograph. This swan was a strong candidate for blipping because I liked the reflections from the buildings on the other side of the river. And the duck shaking itself like a dog was also nearly the one I posted. I picked this one though because I like the lines of the wings and the shape of the legs. This shot shows the bird clearly - it's a Little gull. It had just landed on this post and was having problems getting balanced so there was a lot of wing waving to get his footing.
Enjoy!
