Operation 300th Blip
Today was the second day of the 'Fall Foliage Festival' in New England and we were orienteering at Baldwin Hill near Worcester. It was a beautiful but tough area with few line features in forest that goes on as far as the eye can see.
The fall colours of the leaves sometimes make you think you are heading towards a control kite - not a problem we encounter often in our coniferous forests back home!
Becks had a great idea for my 300th blip. We gave the Westpoint Cadets from the US Military Academy (also honing their navigational skills in the forests this weekend) the mission of creating the blip and, good sports all, this is the result. Thankyou Hannah and the guys!
