I give up!

I've tried! I've taken lots and lots of photos of an emerging conker! I don't like any of them.

I'm fed up with my Nikon D200 camera and its 85mm macro lens! None of the images seem crisp enough at 1:1. I have set the lowest ISO, used a nice sturdy tripod and I've been using the interval timer so as not to jolt the camera too much.

I've tried varying the aperture.

Perhaps I lost interest in the subject. Really I don't like taking photos just for technical reasons.

Still it was worth a try! I think.
