Start of a new week

It seems a lot longer than a week since we got back from Majorca.
This is a happy sight; it heralds a new beginning for a declining dog.

Two weeks of sickness and almost no eating had seen her loose about 10lbs - about 20% of her body weight with no solution in sight.
An examination was done and it was a bit of a thing to be told on Monday, when she seemed better, that the choice was 'euthanase or operate' and, by the way, 'you need to decide right now'.
It has to be said that there was never any real choice. I know we could get a bunch of 'new' dogs for that money, but the heart doesn't work that way. (fortunately pet insurance does)

As I write she is basking in front of the stove, to quote Browning 'God's in his heaven, All's right with the world'
