Cows on the Beach

Had a bad few weeks blipping, my Mac's been broken so haven't been able to upload photos which in turn has made me lazy in taking them. Backblipped the ones that I have taken this evening and from tomorrow (26th Oct) will try to get back to being a proper blipper again!

So Saturday, headed to Lantau for a lazy beach lunch with some friends. We were supposed to be out on a junk today but we decided to cancel it after the typhoon was predicted to hot HK this weekend. Typically, the typhoon veered off North and the weather on Saturday was gorgeous... Had a really nice day still though. Lunch in a South African place right on the beach - BBQed baby spring chicken with lemon and oregano with Greek Salad - YUM! We then lay full and happy in the October sun (circa 27 C and no humidity - amazing!)

These cows ambled along the beach with a few others and made quite a strange sight - not at all the sort of image that springs to mind when you think of Hong Kong!

Had a few Pimms as the sun set and then headed back to central. Went home, changed and then out for another feast! This evening was Italian - Isola, a gorgeous restaurant in the IFC - fantastic views and a terrace (so rare in HK) felt like we were on holiday. Burrata Mozarella and parma ham to start and then gnocchi with Gorgonzola, speck and balsamic sauce - out of this world.

Need to stop the gorging and get back on the treadmill... new health regime starts Monday!
