Birthstone for October

Opals - a couple of cabochons from my collection. These are North American Opals.

Not the best setup for them, but I appear to have lost the quick release mount for my tripod so had to hand hold at awkward angles. Stones were balanced precariously on a granite coaster which was itself balanced precariously on the back of the sofa under an LED lamp.
