Little Friend

Our backyard is often frequented by Black birds, Pigeons, Magpies and Indian minors, looking for worms and other tasty treats amongst the grass, so it was a nice change of scenery to see what I thought was a zebra finch. It actually isnt a zebra finch upon close inspection and I have spent the last hour and a half trying to find out what it is. I have looked at all australian finches to no avail, but have found a few photos of the same bird but no details (very frustrating). So if my blipper friends can help me out with this one, I'd be much appreciated.
