weve sprung a leek

this is my first leek of this year ,we had a bad start with strong winds ,so the leeks were the first to come a cropper flattened,so we kept the second lot in the greenhouse,,and planted them later,well they have done well,i thought i would take a shot of how big or long they were i decided this shows how fresh and green it looks,almost good enough to eat ,,em in fact it they will be in a pie tomorrow with chicken and potato,and quorn and potato for my lovely wife,yum yum ,my mouth is watering already
