Dad's 65th

Dad invited us all to stay as his guest at the Rampsbeck Hotel on Ullswater to celebrate his 65th birthday.

We met up for morning coffee at the Rheged centre near Penrith. It was a fantastic place with loads of local produce on sale. There was also a cheese festival going on. We drive by Penrith all the time on our way to Yorkshire. I think it will be a regular stop on the way home to buy some food for Sunday dinners.

We then checked in at the hotel (very nice rooms) and had a leisurely walk around the gardens before having afternoon tea in the hotel while we gave Dad his presents.

Orla wore her flower girl dress from Catherine and Scott's wedding and looked like a little princess.

We had a black-tie dinner in the hotel in the evening to mark the occasion.
