The one and only!

This is my Nan's dog L, he has been blipped before. This is however one of the first photos I have been able to get with my 40D for a long while in fact since he was 15 months old (he's now 3 and a half) because he doesn't really like the camera. We think it gives off a sonic sound that he can hear and we can't and it hurts his ears. He actually has very sensitive hearing, he reacts to motorbikes too.

He is a one off... total one off! Daft as a brush but as loyal as can be. He dotes on my Nan and my Nan dotes on him. He has such a fantastic sense of humour and always has us in fits of laughter with the things he does. He makes my 81 year old Nan very, very happy.

I travelled up to my mums today with my cousin H for a couple of days R&R. H is a teacher too and for me I just haven't had any time for months to spend any quality time with my Nan and Mum so have been looking forward to the next few days very much.

We're off to Hornsea on the East Coast tomorrow, then Thursday into the Yorkshire Moors, then Friday we're off back home.

L made us laugh this morning. Nan rang me to get an ETA and had said L got up had his breakfast and then saw the state of the weather and went back to bed in disgust... lack of opportunities for ball throwing in the garden! He doesn't normally go back to bed he's a character and a half he really is. Nan said he just turned his nose up at the weather and that was it!

Sometimes really would love to know what he is thinking and wish he could talk as I think he would have a great deal to say and a lot of opinion too!
