Turquoise

I've blipped the first floor windows of this house before - here. Now the shutters have be repainted dark blue - I hope this door is left as it is because I rather like it. Most of the older village houses have a large door like this into the cave which is where the wine was made and machinery was kept, sometimes horses as well. All the living areas of the house were on the first and possibly second floors, with a grenier or attic at the top where grain and other harvests were stored.

In our house, the cave had already been converted into a kitchen before we bought it - more practical these days maybe, but it has taken away some of the history of the house.
