Pumpkin Party

Oh my goodness, could we finally have cracked it? Two good nights sleep in a row from Ethan! 7.30pm till 5.45am. Still waking a bit too early for my liking but I guess I can't complain about over 10 hours consecutive sleep from him! We just need to see if we can get him through till 7am now! Like yesterday, hubbie brought him through to our room where Ethan played on our bed for a bit, watched Tellytubbies and after an hour or so fell back asleep for 45 minutes. So at least I didn't actually have to get up till about 8am.

We went along to Baby Sensory today for the first time in ages. We did a block of 10 sessions earlier in the year but heard from my friend that anyone could go today without signing up for more classes as they were having a pumkpin party (they're not allowed to call it a Halloween party for some reason)! It was strange walking up there because the last time we went Ethan was still in the carrycot and would just lie flat on his back during the classes. Today he was sat proud in his pushchair and sits up well on the floor, bum shuffles and crawls backwards! How time has flown and how he has progressed!

He was falling asleep in the pushchair on the way home so I took a detour to make sure he was fast asleep by the time we got to our front door. He then slept for a mammoth one and a half hours in the pushchair! In fact, I nearly had to wake him up to give him lunch before we tanked it down the road for swimming. Unfortunately when we got there we were met with "oh - didn't you get a phone call"?? Errr ... no! Apparently a child had had a bit of an accident (I assume of the poo variety) so they had to close the pool!

Later on I had to go to the dentist for a scale and polish. Luckily Ethan was very well behaved while we were there and didn't cry at all, unlike last time!

Oh and another Ethan achievement. Ethan was sitting on the floor earlier when he grabbed hold of my jeans and hoisted himself up on his feet! That was a real "lump in my throat my wee baby is growing up" moment for me!
