RUDE AWAKENING AT 2:30 AM

Smoke in the roof at 2:30 AM will always be a rude awakening.
This was a all too familiar scenario, where the heat generated by down lights is trapped beneath insulation until something catches fire.
They saved the house but the lounge room ceiling was destroyed.

Victoria runs two fulltime fire departments, CFA and MFB as well as volunteer services and Airport services and DSE.
The MFB (Metropolitan Fire Brigade) covers Melbourne and most of it's suburbs.
The CFA (Country Fire Authority) with permanents and volunteers mostly the rest of the state.
Here this fire is on the boarder of MFB/CFA area, but in CFA responsible area, so we provide mutual aid to them.
