i was delighted to find out yesterday afternoon some wonderful friends of mine would be stopping in for the night. and lucky for me they just happened to be headed to the same town i needed to go today to catch a flight.

arriving a little early we stopped to watch the powerful winds on the shore of lake michigan. almost knocking me over at times. blowing enough spray off the top of the waves to create tiny rainbows over the water (sadly those photos didnt turn out too wonderfully). a wonderful little farewell to fall in northern michigan
