Fortnum and Mason's

I have long read about Fortnum and Mason's but today I finally pilgrimaged. In one of my favourite books The Travelling Hornplayer by Barbara Trapido the protagonist is always taking his wild daughter or saucy mistress to tea here. Fantastic image. It is associated with big treats and specialness. I wandered around jaw open for a good hour.

Next time I'll need to invite somebody to tea. Any takers?
