#2 is 18 today. He was up at his usual early time, and opened his gifts, including all those he received last weekend. Some beer and cider to sample, now he is "legal". I saw this bottle as an ideal Blip Op.

Both of the boys were off into town for 9 am lectures, and #2 has just returned at 10pm. He's had a good day, not least because a seminar and lecture were cancelled, so he had a three hour lunch break in which to go out and celebrate with friends. I think he was a bit disappointed that he wasn't asked to show ID.

On days like this, I really miss "Gran". She made all the boys' birthday cakes, carefully decorating them, often themed to a gift they would receive. I can taste that chocolate butter icing right now.
