The Calm

"We want it to be as if one were walking through a forest and happened upon a mountain stream."

"It should be as if the stream appears out of the foundation of the house and disappears beneath the paving stones."

These conceptual instructions were all the builder had when he embarked on the delightful task of creating a water feature for Annie's Cottage. A calm settles in as we slow down and listen, and watch the water flow by. The birds and the butterflies and the bees delight in the whole experience. The blipper tries hard to capture the essence of it. Who knew that the task of cleaning up after the storm and gathering up algae could be such a pleasant one. Who would have thought that so much love could rest in a little faux mountain stream.
