Good grief
We were invited over to An Cala (Andrew Mackay of the Clan Mackay's house) for the big match.
The cauldron of Hampden was chilled after 1 minute when the Italians discovered Stephen McManus had put on lead boots instead of leather. The match was fantastic, the ref was a twit and we desreved a draw after the equaliser. The last minute goal summed up the ref's night more than ours.
To rub it in, England were gifted a place in the finals when Russia lost to Israel. A simple home draw with Croatia (already through) and they're there.
How come we always get the tough groups (the 2 World Cup finalists and a W. Cup semi-finalist) and they get the piss-easy?
Why's that eh!?
Afterwards we went back to the house, got even more warmed-up on my brother's selections and ate like the barbarians we Scots are!
