Toots in Solitude

By Toots

Pals on top of the world.

A whole beach, but they squeeze together on one little pinnacle, and I know exactly how they feel. I would have climbed up and joined them but I hadn't much energy today.

Went to North Berwick. A golden sun shone, enhancing all the coppers of autumn trees, and the sands were filled with groups of people who seemed delighted to enjoy the riches and richness of the day.

Clocks change tonight. Usually that means adjusting what seems like a hundred hands, but at the moment I have so many clocks stopped and in need of new batteries that I'll not take so long with this task.
