Hugs at Mugdock
We went to Mugdock Country Park today to meet Angus, his Mum and Dad and his baby sister Olivia. We had lunch in the garden centre cafe, Angus and I both had ham sandwiches and apple juice. We played with the Talking Tom app on Dad's phone - you talk to Tom the Cat and he repeats what you say in a squeaky voice! It's great fun, but we had to stop once Angus started shouting and I jumped on the bandwagon. Our parents then decided it was time to take us outside, so we went to feed the ducks. We threw lots of bread in, but they didn't seem to want it. I had a go on Angus' bike. Once I got off I kept saying "Orla want a shot on the bike!" and Angus showed me a big tree that you can hide inside!
But Angus forgets that he's older than me (a whole year, even though it might not look like it!) and this goodbye hug went a little bit pear-shaped...
See here!
And in the car on the way home, Orla was in the back with her Peppa Pig computer and her dad and I were very impressed to hear her repeat her phonetic alphabet after Peppa! She had a late sleep, so as it's Saturday night, she is being allowed to stay up late as a treat and watch Strictly Come Dancing. She's loving it, and has just said "let's dance" to her dad (to Kara and Artem's Phantom of the Opera routine).
