Pyrenean coos
This was a drive-by-shooting (but not a patch on these! Buy his book it's worth it)
Drove for too long in hot weather in a small car to Villefranche De Conflet but it was all worth it. What a fantastic place. Vauban designed fortified Medieval village. How many of them do we have still in the UK?
And a fabulous (and fabulously good value - seeing as the parents were paying) set lunch at Auberge St. Paul in the walls.
Three courses of great food, 2 glasses of wine and they held service until Sorcha was fed without being asked. Fantastic.
We saw a herd of these coos on the way down the hill. I managed to catch this one on the way past while their bells were ringing. :)
