Wolverine Peak

Strange things happen here.

Ever since here it has been warmer and rainy. It is not uncommon that a front will come in from the Gulf of Alaska carrying warm air, rain, and high winds. The temperatures have been from the mid 30s to the low 40s. It is 41 F / 5 C now!

So, it is warmer, but the fluffy snow covering the trees is all gone. And most of the snow in our yard is gone too. So it is not as pretty here. I am glad I got some shots of the nice snow earlier!

To get a better view we ran up to Overlook Park, it's just up the road a bit. This is Wolverine Peak. To the right is Powerline Pass. To the left is Willowaw Valley.

Of course, we had a very nice Thanksgiving dinner with the daughters and nephews... lots of turkey, dressing, potatoes, corn, cranberries, pumpkin pie, all of the traditional stuffings! It was a cozy day with a fire in the fireplace and the grandson on the lap. Now all there is to do is to clean up the leftovers!

Happy Thanksgiving all!
