Nick, Murron and I went to the Botanics for a wander. It was so beautiful in the autumn sunlight and Murron had a good explore. We had tea and scone outside the Terrace Cafe whilst lots of children played in the leaves - throwing them up into the air with whoops of excitement. Murron drank a carton of orange juice, only to realise it was apple once she had finished.
Murron 'You told me it was orange'
Me 'I thought it was'
Murron 'It tasted like orange!'
Me 'If you drank some now it would taste like apple..'
You could see Murron trying to process this, not quite able to fathom why apple juice tasted like orange juice just because I told her. If only it worked for eating vegetables..
We stopped off to buy a pumpkin on the way home which Murron cradled all evening. I bet Nick and I will wait to see who cracks first and begins the arduous task of hollowing it out.
