Footprints in the sand

I took my Mum to see the iron men statues on the beach at Crosby this morning...Anthony Gormley's 'Another Place'... and as we wandered about in the cold, but sunny weather, I spotted these very clear starling's footprints, where they had been fossicking about looking for anything edible at the high water mark.

Sometimes you need to look down as well as up!
