Galahad

This morning was cold and bright so Ollie and I had a good walk round the fields before going over to check the ponies. Their coats have grown really thick and woolly and they seem to be quite untroubled by the weather we've had recently.

Nipped into the town this afternoon for hen food and pony nuts and some petrol. £1.12.7/litre! Absolutely crazy! Cost a fortune to half fill the tank. I could rant on about this at length but there is little point . . .

Last year a friend of mine left Orkney to return to her native Germany. She left me four chicken, three of which turned into hens - Blackie, Dusty and Gracie - and the fourth became this handsome bird - Galahad!

Was going to blip hairy ponies in a muddy field, but he looked more colourful. He's about the only colourful thing left outside to blip, now that the wind and rain have flattened and blackened everything!
