These fun looking different coloured buildings with the intentionally crooked quirky windows are part of the local St Martins primary school. I rather like them and thought you might too.

We've had a manic nor'easterly wind today. Definitely kept me honest biking home into it. I've been feeling a bit more relaxed as in Christchurch we've barely felt any (though small ones continue to happen). The larger ones are spacing further apart.

But earlier this evening I heard a deep hum/rumble. Combined with the noise of wind I wasn't sure what it was, then there was the jolt and rocking that went on and on.... Hopefully that's it for a while.

I had a lot of fun at last night's bbq and octoberfest beer tasting. But I'm not a fan of boysenberry beer. Most of us weren't. It was a huge amount of fun, interesting people, great beers and the best freshly baked pretzels you can imagine. Thanks K and K :-) I'm back on the straight and narrow today. No wheat in any shape or form.

Mum had a good specialist appointment today. They're very pleased with her wound and recovery. She won't have further treatment options and it's a matter of wait and see. She'll have another appointment in 3 months.
