Things that go bump in the night....
HK goes crazy at Halloween - there are police everywhere, barriers all around the edges of the streets and people everywhere. Its a really big thing and everyone really dresses up.
After last night's girls' night I had a lazy morning and then headed up to the Peak where there is a little park with real grass (very rare in Hong Kong!) armed with M&S picnic food. Lay in the Autumn sun (perfect blue skies but nippy enough for a cardigan) picking on dips and baby sausages and drinking rose with some friends. Then got cracking with making one of the boy's costumes - a pair of scissorhands (he was going as Edward Scissorhands!) Spent all afternoon laughing - was really one of the nicest days I've had for a while.
Then headed back home to change into my black widow outfit and then on to the Halloween party that one of the girls was hosting at her house. She held it round her pool and she'd made a huge effort decorating the place, making Halloween cocktails and even had Halloween cupcakes! The evening turned pretty messy fairly quickly with most of the boys pushing each other fully clothed in the pool... on to Lang Kwai Fong for a few entirely unnecessary Halloween drinks and finally home at 8am... an epic evening!
