Found in a basement during a massive declutter!

The story looks pretty straight forward - this AA signals unit was billeted in a church hall, and the folk of the congregation gathered round to make them feel welcome.

Maybe we have become hyper-sophisticated, but doesn't the whole thing have a rather strong hint of more innocent days when jolly evenings MIGHT have been just that.
