I'm not as green as I'm cabbage looking

Has anyone else heard that phrase? It used to be common in my childhood but I imagine saying that to someone now would get you quick insertion into a straitjacket.

This cabbage is a beautiful English 'January king cabbage', even though it's November. Along with the 'clocks do/don't go back' debate, it seems vegetable scheduling is all over the place too.
