Purple Haze

Having got up at 6 o'clock this morning ready to catch the 8 'clock boat, I should be sitting in a café in Rhodes wondering when I will have time to upload a Blip for today but instead I'm sitting at home wondering which of several pictures I took this morning, I should upload. The boat left but I didn't due to a misreading of the timetable which lead my friend and I to believe that we could go to Rhodes and back in one day whereas the reality is that it's not possible and we would have had to spend the night. As I hadn't made any provision to be away over night (ie. someone to feed the cats) I decided to leave it for today.

On the plus side, going down to the harbour a couple of hours earlier and to a different area than usual brought a couple of new angles to snap including the opposite side of the harbour . I also had a chance to experiment a little with the early morning sun.

In the end though I decided that this simple but pretty purple flower surrounded by lush green leaves, was the way to go, as my last few Blips have all been buildings and I felt like a change.

Now back to the boat timetable to decide the best time to get to Rhodes for a little change of scenery........
