It's not an emission test
It's not for anything else
Except for the fuel!!!

People stand in very very long queues in front of the gas filling stations on rationing dates. It even went to the extent that vehicles are parked in queue 1 day or 2 days before the rationing day!!

This sight's been going on here since the last 6-7 months following economic blockade in the national highway and the aftermath that followed. Even if the blockades are lifted time to time, the truckers refused to pass through this highway and instead opted for a very winding and long highway which is not fit for motoring and practically non-motorable during the rainy seasons. The trucks are sometimes assisted by bulldozers and cranes. One of the most affected essential item has been petroleum products. Fuel (petrol and diesel) are rationed on prescribed dates. Cooking gas is not available to the general consumers when required. The agencies distributed one domestic 14.5 kg cylinder twice a year on an average!!!! (which normally should be made available every 20 days!!!). Wonderful state of affairs going on here!

Talk about conservation of natural gases?! It's followed strictly here!!
