Shine a light

This is a rather random image - the only one I took today. A self-deprecating friend of mine used to have a sign above his desk that read 'Even the worst of us can serve as horrible examples for others.'

I spent this afternoon with someone who, though not 'the worst of us' and not 'horrible,' left me feeling grateful to my tippy toes to be me. It was a strangely beneficial experience. I came away almost skipping, shaking my head, so very glad to be me.
