Those of you who know me well know I'm not a country girl, but I try my best here in deepest Somerset.
This morning did the usual dog walk, but hadn't appreciated the point where the cows come in and out was getting muddier. Put foot in mud and suddenly I'm sinking fast. Can't get boot out at all. so. i remove foot - still leaving boot in mud, whip off coat a la Sir Walter Raleigh and place foot on coat, which is now sinking fast. I found so much strength to pull boots out - God knows how, and hobbled back down lane without seeing anyone. Please don't tell a soul!
Oh and they are Stephen's boots!!!!!!
