Arlo the Spider
I've not really bothered much with Hallowe'en since I stopped guising at the ripe old age of 15 so it's been an unexpected pleasure to get slam dunked right back into it now that Arlo is old enough to realise what's going on around him.
As well as his Hallowe'en party (and being preggers, AND looking after house and home whilst Bry rests up his broken leg - I mean, have I mentioned how busy I am at the moment? I don't think I have...take a seat, let me tell you all about it, it's really interesting - it is, it is...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz snore) to think about I've also been head first in plans for our next
She-Bang extravaganza, so it's been Hallowe'en central round our house. Great!
While sorting out She-Bang tunes, I stumbled over this eery little ditty and I remembered how it properly gave me the willies when I heard it back when I were a nipper. Seeing as we have a cat called Boris it all fitted together nicely so I decided to tackle not 1 but 2 different spider cozzies for Hallowe'en. One for Arlo and er...well, one for me.
If you're raking round these pages you'll see that I haven't posted one of me in my costume. This is because I looked insane. Arlo suits 'spider' much more than I did.
He helped me make the hairy tummy and was generally delighted with the whole Hallowe'en experience - dooking for apples and all that jazz. He was most especially delighted to be awarded a medal for first prize at his nursery party. That medal made staying up till 1am struggling with the aerodynamics of his spider legs totally worthwhile, let me tell ya!
