I Am The Son And Heir

Of A Shyness That Is Criminally Vulgar*

In my continuing rummage through all things dusty, I've unearthed a copy of the Observer supplement from March 1989 featuring Morrissey. In another box I found some photos from the article, written by Jon Savage. I had written to the editorial department and they sent me prints of the photos that had been used. They've been kept in the cellophane to keep them perfect, a successful strategy as you can see. The photograph plonked so carefully here is also the image on the front page.

I had a couple of queries about yesterday's quote. It's lifted from Ecclesiates, a book from the bible. I was conscious of the lack of originality in my blip (a recurring theme - today's offering is another example!) so looked up the quote 'there is nothing new under the sun' and 'bang' up pops Eccleciastes. If it was a real book written by real people which it isn't (or is if you believe that to be the case, gawd bless ya) I feel Ecclesiates would be the nom-de-plume of a bloke from Eccles.
