Stricken
People managed to get around London pretty easily today, despite the latest tube strike.
There was plenty of cycle traffic, although I reckon this fella would have been on his bike anyway - his get-up, his trousers tucked into his socks, and the way he had his walking cane fitted into his frame all suggest a veteran cyclist.
Cab drivers, too, were doing a roaring trade this morning.
However, it didn't even seem as if tube services were all that disrupted.
It's kind of worrying that a strike can seem so apparently ineffective. The right to withdraw our labour as a last resort is something we should not give up cheaply - yet for so many the idea itself is so abhorrent.
