Anatomy

Down in London today again and have been in the Wellcome Collection all day. I managed to squeeze in a quick look around some of the exhibits at lunchtime and spotted this.

My first degree was partly in human anatomy so I was impressed to see this exhibit on display. It's a thin slice through a real person that has been plasticised and displayed to show just how marvelously complex we are on the inside.

I'm aware that having undertaken and taught human dissection, attended postmortems etc., I have a higher tolerance for "ick" than some people, so I really hope this doesn't offend anyone! If it does, I have a less icky alternative :-)
