Wreck in the Bay

This is the wreck of the Monarch. Rumour has it she was built at Lake Superior by women to transport potatoes to the fleet during the first world war. She was later bought by an old guy hereabouts for scrap and has lain rotting for many years, at least 50 years! Every gale it loses a little bit more and the shore is littered with bits of old metal work.

She also has a cameo role in the Eurythmics video Here Comes The Rain Again but she's deteriorated alot since it was filmed.
