What's Cooler than Being Cool?
I've been quite taken by the work of another photographer on another site who took a series of 50 close-in portrait shots of strangers in the street using a 50mm lens. To get the right amount of light on the subjects face he gets them to hold a standard 5-in-1 reflector at chest height, choosing the colour of reflected side for the condition of the day.
Some of you may notice that this is not just any old stranger, but a willing guinea-pig to help me get the reflector thing just right.
Another "rule" of this project was to include a snippet of the conversation at the time of the shoot:
"Silver-side puts some beef in your photos".
