Cat Sighs

Cat's Eyes

Cat's eyes
grow wide
watching sparrows
eating scraps
of bread and bacon.

She sits on
the kitchen window sill.

Unaware of her
they eat their fill
and fly
away.

Cat yawns.
Cat sighs.

Cat's eyes
close
