Mother Nature's Catherine Wheel.

A wet one.

This little cyclamen was holding it's head up in the wind and rain earlier.
I liked the effect of the rain.

It's still raining here, which is a bit sad for all those hoping to have non-soggy toffee apples and hot dogs this evening.

I'm reminded of my best bonfire night ever (age 9) when my cousin lit a jumping jack near our unsupervised box of fireworks.
We experienced all our bonfires at once! (And he had a good hiding!)

I guess 'health and safety' has knocked all that kind of fun on the head.
(The unsupervised fireworks, not the good hiding!). Probably sensible.
