Weathered

This wooden shed is in a lane at the back of J's primary school. I saw this when I was waiting for him today, and got the camera out. As soon as I did I heard a little voice next to me saying "why are you taking photos?" and looked down to see a curious boy, probably about 8 or 9, looking up at me. I decided to risk being seen as a slightly dodgy looking scruffy male talking to boys in a playground with a camera in one hand, and told the boy that I just like taking photos of interesting looking things. I just thought this place looked indeterminably old and battered, decrepit and unused. The boy then told me that it's far from unused, and is actually a storage facility for a local man and his collection of wood. "If he's got all that wood, why doesn't he fix his shed?" I asked. "I suppose if he used all the wood to fix the shed, he wouldn't need anywhere to put it anyway".
8 year old boys have a wisdom of their very own.
