Old soldier William 'Aggie' Taylor

Old soldier William Taylor, known as Aggie in his Army days, at home in Scarborough. The former Royal Irish Fusillier celebrates his 90th birthday next Saturday, the day before Remembrance Sunday.
During his interview for my paper today, he told of his long and varied Army career, which included signing up as a 14 year old boy, playing in a military band, his time with the Parachute Regt, and postings to countries including Ireland, Germany, Italy, Palestine, and Malta.
