The Castle

This is Bangor Castle and it is the subject of an emergency Blip!

Today was a bit crazy in many ways and my trip up to the "castle" on my way home was typical. Rain, big drips from the trees, concerned looks from some passers-by at someone ferreting around in the trees with a tripod next to a police station, etc...

Anyway, I survived.

The building isn't a castle obviously but a mansion finished in 1854 and is built in a Jacobean-Elizabethan style. It was acquired at some point by Bangor Council and is now used by it's successor, North Down Borough Council as the town hall.
