VE and DD Day

A sunny day. It soon went though.

This little corner - actually it's on the big green in the centre - of Buile Hill Park, had a fire bucket installed and the signs VE and DD day attached thereon. It was all before my time.
However, I thought that the fire buckets were put up as part of the 4-centenary of the Armada in 1588. I went to one up on the hills above Tyneside.

No matter. So there's an Armada fire bucket, VE day and DD Day signs, and if you look carefully, there's a maypole too. Everything's covered.
