Forest of Moss

My blip-finder came in earlier this morning with a suggestion. He found this on the south side of our woolshed, took me out to have a look, and there was masses & masses of the "little forests". So rather than spend some time on my tummy I dug out a small section and photographed this on the outdoor table.
I have no idea what this is called but when looking through the lens with my three macro extensions it looked pretty cool I thought. They stand about 6mm high & 4mm across.

I was happy with the rugby result overnight (sorry, ever so sorry you UKite's) although I must admit the English played very well, just not well enough!!!

Vege gardened this morning, lawns/edges all done, some spraying done - thats it for another week.

Watching the final day of the rowing now, 1 gold to the men double scull & a silver for our female single scull so far for NZ. Eights is the big one still to come, but I don't think we are quite up to the mark there, will wait and see.

Bumma that the weekends fly by so quickly.
