Counties 2010

Today was counties. Everyone was nervous because only the top team goes to states and the top 5 individuals after that team go too. Everyone really wanted to go. It was great being at a meet and not having to run. Me, Grace, Aly, Brendan, and Shannon walked around for an hour before the races started and took a ton of pictures. We walked along the power lines and they made for some great photos.

The boy's race started at 1:45. All of the non-runners (about 10 of us) decided how we would split up to cheer them on. My little group ended up at the starting line taking pictures, then we jogged to the power line crossing, and then we sprinted back all the way down the polo field to take pictures as they rounded their last turn of the season. We did the same for the girls. For people who weren't running in the meet, we sure did a lot of running!

Both Mike and Marty came in the top 25. Erin, Jamie, Shay, and Liz were also in the top 25. The girls team was the runner-up and they got a plaque! LIZ IS GOING TO STATES!!!!! Liz ran really well today and she was in the top 5 after North Shore so she gets to go to states! Wish her luck!

The saddest part of the meet was taking the picture of the seniors. It's their last meet and they were so sad :(

I took about 350 pictures, but I just edited them down to about 160. It's always a good idea to take a ton of pictures.
