Low light on bare tree

Dickie and I had our walk (very muddy) this afternoon. While he was pottering about the field, I took photos. Some trees are now bare and ready to be photographed for their shape.

The light was low and I liked the colours to the east of us. I took the tree against the sky thinking I would make it a silhouette, but the bark was beautiful so I changed my mind. I like the rough texture of the bark and the hints of gold from the sun.

Dickie had to be hosed down on our return..........not a happy doggy at that moment, but he bounces back immediately (literally)
